For over 100 years Saint Augustine Cathedral Parish has been providing a Catholic-centered education to the children of the parish and surrounding community. Our staff is fully certified, with many instructors holding advanced degrees. Staff must also meet the requirements of the Catechist Certification Program through the Diocese of Kalamazoo.  We have a strong core curriculum based on a traditional program of reading, writing, arithmetic, and Christian values. We also offer exceptional programs in art, music, creative writing, physical education, computer science, and other areas.

An excellent private tutorial program based on the Orton Gillingham approach to assist students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities is available. Our approach is a comprehensive one, with emphasis on the moral, intellectual and emotional needs of a well-adjusted child. We pride ourselves on small class sizes and a high degree of individual attention to each student. Our students score well above state standards in standardized tests, a performance repeated in the upper grades by Hackett Catholic Central High School in Kalamazoo.
